Dementia Awareness

This half day Dementia Awarneness training course is suitable for care workers.

Course Length. 2-3 Hrs

Introduction

This Half day course builds upon our Dementia Awareness training and is designed for care workers within care settings to recognise the signs of dementia and manage early intervention, support systems, care planning and provide systems, support and processes for all staff.

Course Contents

Identified issues in dementia care
NICE Dementia Pathway
Diagnosis and assessment
Early intervention
Supporting people in the advanced stages of dementia
Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
External supporting and affecting factors
Dealing with distressed behaviours

Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a CPD certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.
